Erdenekhairkhan is a sum of Zavkhan Province in western Mongolia. Founded in 1952. Erdenekhairkhan soum occupies 409.4 thousand hectares of area covering the central part of Tsetsen Sartuul Van, Khangai Mountain Range, which covers the Great Lakes Depression. 1100 km from Ulaanbaatar and 115 km from aimag center.

The highest point in the area is the Burkhan Gulf, Tudevan, Senjith rivers, and the lower part of the Boron salt region.
