Otgon

Otgon is a sum of Zavkhan Province in western Mongolia. It was founded in 1924 by Buyant, Naran and Bayanzurian banners of the Khoshuu khudag khoshuu of Good Noyon Khan Province and was named "Otgon" in 1930. Currently, there are 2860 people. 781 households. There are 134800 heads of livestock.

Otgon soum is bordered by Shilvoidai, Tsagaan Khairkhan, Tsagaanchuluut of Bayankhongor province, Bayanbulag, Bayankhongor province, Govi-Altai aimag's Govi-Altai province, and the south-west of Zavkhan province’s oldest and most southeastern part of the Khangai mountain range. , 980 km from Ulaanbaatar, 128 km from the province center Uliastai.
