Sumber is a sum of Tuv Province in Mongolia. By the Resolution 64 of March 16, 1977, Sumber soum was established with "Javkhlant" center.
Soum area is 54.6 thousand square km. The amphibians and its 8.1% forest and 41.6% of the forests occupy steppe zones. The soum has over 530 households, more than 1800 people, and over 30 thousand livestock. Geographic location is included in the Hangai Mountain Range, Selenge Basin, Steppe, and is suitable for cultivated sandy loamy soil.

169 km from the capital city, Ulaanbaatar, 90 km from Darkhan-Uul, 160 km from Orkhon province and 204 km from Zuunmod soum of province center.
