Darvi  is a sum (district) of Khovd Province in western of Mongolia. Darvi soum was disbanded in 1931 from Khairkhan soum and in 1932 Darwin and Khairkhan soums joined together again in 1934, relying on place called “Mungun Ayga”, re-joining in 1938, and in 1940, 1100 households with 18 bags and Darvi soum had 150,000 livestock.

Darvi soum has over 549 thousand hectares of land, with 336 thousand hectares of agricultural land, 54.0 hectares of hay, 6,4 thousand hectares of forest, and most of the rest are mountainous and gobi combined pastures.

Darvi soum is located 1220 km south of Ulaanbaatar, 210 km south of Khovd, in the south-western part of the Mongol Altai mountain range, in the Great Lakes Depression. Gobi-Altai Mountains and 130 km of Gobi-Altai Mountains, 70 km of Darwin, Tsetseg soum of its province 70 km, Zereg soum, 65 km north of Chandmani soum and 120 km north of Gobi-Altai Khukh horse 100 km and 120 km south of Bayan-Uul.
