Tugrug is a sum (district) of Uvurkhangai Province in southern Mongolia. Tugrug sum  was established in 1924 as "Sain Tugrug" and moved from "Sain Tugrug" in 1939 and settled in “Khoolt”, known as Uizenvan's khoshuu of Sain Noyon Khan province. 2689 people live in 805 households. Total land area is 546688.0 hectares.
In the south east of Uvurkhangai province:

  • 100 km from the aimag center.

Bordered by Bayangol, Bogd, Guaiin and Tarag sums and Mandal-Ovoo, Umnugobi aimag, and Saikhan-Ovoo sums of Dundgovi aimag, covering 5467 km2. The sums are characterized by steppe and gobi zones with their own unique soil and vegetation and are ideal for multiplying five animals.
The summer has a dry and warm climate.
