Tsakhir

Tsakhir is a sum (district) of Arkhangai Province in central Mongolia. Tsakhir sum was founded in 1923. Tsakhir soum is located on the western edge of the aimag, in the north borders with Khovsgol, in the south with Bayankhongor and Zavkhan aimag in the west, Tariat soum to the northeast and the southeast with the Khangai sum. It was established in 1931 in Chandmani-Ulziit Dalai Khoshuu and was re-deployed in 1966 and re-established as Tariat and Khangai soums merged in 1993.

The sum has 661 households and 2143 population, 66229 heads of livestock. The total area is 3398 km².

Tsakhir sum is located:
