Orkhon

Orkhon is a sum (district) of Selenge Province in northern Mongolia.  Orkhon sum  was established by the Decree of the People's Republic of Mongolia on December 31, 1959. The population is 2369. 130,600 hectares of land.

It is located in the southwest of Selenge aimag.

The soum borders Selenge aimag with southwest, Baruunburen sum, West with Sant sum, Northeast with Saikhan sum, east with Bayangol soum and Sukod with Tuv aimag.
