Nomgon is a sum (district) of Umnugovi Province in southern Mongolia. Established Umnugovi aimag in 1931, Nomgon sum was established in Bulgan soum, which is centralized in Kharmagtai. It was renamed 13 Nomrog sum, which has 300 households, with 1200 inhabitants and 110 thousand livestock.

The sum is located in the southernmost part of Mongolia and is located in the aimag with a large territory of 19,000 square kilometers. In the south, there is a Khankhong sum of its province, Khankhongor in the north, and in the east with Bayan-Ovoo sums. It is located 670 km from Ulaanbaatar and 106 km from the aimag center. The Orkhon Ruin is the southernmost point of Mongolia, the southernmost point of this sum.
