Zag

Zag  is a sum (district) of Bayankhongor Province in southern Mongolia. It was named Zag sum of Bayankhongor since 1942 The Zag sum covers about 2561km2 area and total population of 2029. With total hed count of 117275 of livestock. 

The sum is considered as a steppe. The sum has 4 subdivision which is called bag. They are called Bayanbulag, Bayanulaan, Chandmani-Ovoo, Zalaa-Ovoo. The western part of the sum is surrounded by natural attraction mountains such as Ovoon Tag, Bayanbulag, Dankharyn Taguud, Khokh khairkhan, Takhilga Khairkhan, Bayantsagaan mountain and Yambat Khairkhan. The has a vast land of valleys.
