Nogoonnuur

Nogoonnuur is a sum (district) of Bayan-Ulgii Province in western Mongolia. The Nogoonnuur soum  was established in 1952. It is located at 1435-3500 m above sea level. Bordered by Altantsugts, Bayannuur, Bugat and Ulaankhus of Bayan-Ulgii province, Khovd and Bukhmurun soums of Uvs province, Khos Agash region of Gorno-Altai of Republic of Russian and Mungun Taiga region of Tuva. Total area is 6585 sq. Km.

Nogoonnuur sum is located:

• Located 110 km from the province center.
