Bugat is a sum (district) of Bayan-Ulgii Province in western Mongolia. Bugat soum  was established in 1959. There are 869 households and 3251 people in four bags: Khatuu, Ulaantolgoi, Soum center and Buga. Ulgii city is a soum established for meat and dairy products. It borders Nogoonnuur, Altantsugts, Tolbo, Sagsai and Ulaanhus soums of Bayan-Ulgii province, which is located in the highlands of 2300-3700 m. Total area is 4977.33 km2 .
Bugat soum of Bayan-Ulgii province is bordered by western Mongolia to Mongolia Altai.
