Bayanjargalan is a sum (district) of Dundgovi Province in central Mongolia. Founded in 1925. The sum is now 328.9 thousand km square, 385 households and 1250 inhabitants. The soum center is located 300 km from Ulaanbaatar, 150 km from the province center and 80 km from the Mongolian railway.

It has been found in coal, oil shale, fluorspar and uranium deposits. There are many great places, such as the Great Stone Rock, Arctic Rocks, Gashuun Bulag and Takht, such as the oases of the Gobi oasis and the Khaliv river, which are home to ancient dinosaur dinosaurs.
