Tugrug  is a sum (district) of Govi-Altai Aimag (province) in western Mongolia. The wooden mouse of the sixteenth century was founded in 1924 by Tugrug sum. The soum center is located 145 km southwest of the aimag center Altai and 1145 km from Ulaanbaatar to the southeast of Mongolia Altai mountain range. A total of 5,427 thousand km². It is bordered on the west by Bugatt, Tonkhil, Darvi, Sharga, Khaliun, Tals in the east, and Altai in the south.
