Jargalan is a sum (district) of Govi-Altai Aimag (province) in western Mongolia. Founded in 1924. The soum center is about 1130 km from Ulaanbaatar and 90 km from the aimag center of Altai. On the right is Khasagt Khairkhan mountain and Jargalan mountain in the north. It is the Govi khangai region. Jargalan soum is an area of 368 km. The population of this soum is 2785 people.
