Khaliun  is a sum (district) of Govi-Altai Aimag (province) in western Mongolia. Khaliun sum was founded on February 17, 1959.

The soum center has a total area of 521.0 hectares, surrounded by mountains such as the legendary God of the Black Rock, the Yunnu Khairkhan and the Khan Taishir Mountains. It currently has 2365 people, with 667 households and 204958 thousand heads of livestock, and Livestock husbandry. Fruit farm
Bayangol, Biger, Tsogt, Tseel, Tugrug and Sharga soums. It is 35 km southwest of Chachran River, originally from Wheat Mountain.
