Mandakh is a sum (district) and town of Dornogovi Province in southeastern Mongolia.  Incorporated in 1924. Population is 1508. The soum is located west of Dornogovi aimag, Manlai, Khanbogd Umnugovi aimag, Ulziit and Undurshil sum, Dundgobi province, Saikhandulaan, Ulaanbadrakh, Khuvsgul and Khatanbulag sums.  The soums are located in the vast valley of the Gobi Desert, Eleventh Bogd, Gegeen, Argalant, Narmandah, Buyant, Noyon, Shekhchor, Khorgo, Bayan-Ulgii, and Snyat. There are also over thirty kinds of medicinal herbs such as sweet grass, leder, gourd, dog, five squirrels, gazelle drinks and khulan drinks, 300 grove species of pasture, elm, shrub, pine groves, saxaul, algae, lynx, trees and bushes.
