Bugat is a sum (district) of Bulgan Province in northern Mongolia. The Bugat soum center is located between Erdenet and Bulgan city. Bugat soum is bordered by Bulgan and Orkhon aimags to the south, Selenge Soum, Orkhon aimag, and north-west of Saikhan and Khutag-Undur soums. Most of the population is engaged in animal husbandry.
