The statue of Marco Polo, a long-time trusted envoy of Khubilai Khaan, was unveiled in 2011 by the design of architect B.Denzen. Marco Polo remains a symbol of the global reach of the Mongolian Empire and the historical ties connecting the East and the West under Mongolian hegemony.
