Khovd river has the most water among all rivers in the Central Asia that don’t flow out. Two rivers White Khovd /Axau/ and Black Khovd /Karatir/ that flow for 516 km from the glacier in the Tavan Bogd peak of Mongol Altai are considered to be the beginning of Khovd river. These two rivers flow through Hoton and Hurgan lakes and join many other small rivers and flow to Har-Us lake.
