The Darkhan settlement was established the 17th of October, 1961 and first fundament was to rely upon building materials and mineral sources in the surrounding area. 

Darkhan city’s another name is “Friendship” City because during the Soviet Union time, its union countries supported and cooperated,  technically and economically, with their expats.
