Bogd River starts from the north side of Otgontenger Mountain and flows near Chigestei, Yrui, Shireet rivers including ponds of Gobi Desert. It pours into Zavkhan River. Its span is mainly 100km long and average speed of the water is 11.8 m/s. General mineralization is 84.4 mg/l, many small rivers pours down from the high mountain. It freezes between November and April. Otgontenger Mountain is a snowcapped mountain and a strictly protected area. It is 4021 meters high and has natural sights like rising up mountains, ponds, hot springs, various sorts of tree bush, medicinal herbs are especially fabulous. Obviously there are also rare animals like deer, mountain goat etc…
