Otgontenger mountain is surrounded by crystal blue lakes on the south and the north. One of them is called Badar Khundaga lake. In this lake, the royalty sacrificed eight jewels made of silver saddle, bridle, bowl, gold and diamond. The lake name refers to being similar to pure water that flows under the mountain. The other lake surrounding Otgontenger is named Ar Khudarga. It appears greenly from distance as if flowing crystal diamonds. Around the lake there are traces of the Ice Age. Otgontenger Mountain is 250 meters high and has a 14 meters wide tilted shore. The lake occupies 134'400 square meters and joins several rivers of Bogd River, River of Rocks, which are connected to Zavkhan River.
