Local people say that this mountain is a lion shaped. Since 1700, local people started to worship the mountain and by 1850s by state under decree of local governor. When worship the mountain people organize horse racing to wake up the mountain gods and to encourage braveness of yellow lion, the god of the mountain. There is also a taboo that wounded people and livestock should not climb up the mountain.
