LHAMSURENGIIN ENEBISH STATUE AND MEMORIAL

A memorial dedicated to statesman Lhamsurengiin Enebish was erected in 2009 by initiative of Enebishiin Munkh-Ochir, Member of Parliament and son of L.Enebish, by the design of R.Enkhtaivan and Khurtsgerel. L.Enebish was mayor of Ulaanbaatar in 1990-1992, Deputy Prime Minister in 1993-1996, Member of Parliament since 2000 and consequently the Speaker of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia. Surrounding the L.Enebish statue are the sculptures “Seven Treasures of Statehood,” “Sun over the Tranquil Jambhudvipa” and “Branding of a Foal.”
