Kholboolj lake located at 100km to the south of Bayankhongor City is famous for its pink rock salt. It is one of the large food salt deposits and a site of treatment of different ailments with salt and mud. Also the lake besides the salt lake is the habitat of various waterfowl, especially swans considered as symbol of love. Therefore, the locals call this lake Swan Lake.
