White stupa- TSagaan suvarga retreat
About this place
Since 2013, our nomadic herder family has been warmly welcoming travelers who want to experience the true lifestyle of Mongolia. We are located just 6 kilometers southwest of the famous Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), one of the most stunning natural formations in the Gobi Desert.
Our family follows a traditional way of life, raising cattle, goats, and sheep on the vast steppe. We produce a variety of dairy products, including aaruul (dried curds), yogurt, and fresh milk — all made by hand, using traditional methods passed down through generations. Guests are invited to taste these unique local flavors and see how they are made.
Visitors are welcomed into our home — a cozy Mongolian ger — where you’ll enjoy home-cooked meals, fresh airag (fermented mare’s milk), and the genuine hospitality of a Mongolian family. You can try on traditional Mongolian and Kazakh clothes, take memorable photos (free of charge), and even join in daily tasks like milking animals or making dairy products.
For those seeking a bit of adventure, we also offer optional camel and horse rides through the scenic Gobi landscape. Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or as a family, this is a peaceful and enriching stop on your journey through southern Mongolia.
Our stay is perfect for travelers visiting Tsagaan Suvarga who want to connect with nature, learn about nomadic traditions, and experience everyday life in the Mongolian countryside.
Come as a guest — leave as a friend, with unforgettable memories of the Gobi.
