About this tour
Come discover the nomadic lifestyle and do a 5-days horseback riding to see the Red Waterfall in the Orkhon Valley!
Day 1, Join the family by bus from Ulaanbaatar and spend a first night in a traditional ger
Day 2, Discover the nomadic lifestyle and do a first horsebcak riding to meet your horse for the 5 next days
Day 3 to 7, You will go with horses to the waterfall. First stop in a small ger camp or in family near Bat-Ulzii. Second stop in the youngest daughter's of the family nomadic camp. On the third day you will join the waterfall and spend a day here before coming back to sleep to the daughter's camp. You will sleep back in the family's camp on day 7.
Day 8, Last full day in the family, rest day after the horse hiking and you enjoy the place.
Day 9, the family drive you back to take the bus for Ulaanbaatar

Day 1: Join the family with public bus from UB Day 2: discover the nomadic lifestyle and meet your horse Day 3: Start the horseback hiking. Night in a ger camp near Bat-Ulzii Day 4: Join the youngest daughter's nomadic camp. Night in ger Day 5: Day at the waterfall, you go there with horses and come back to the daughter's camp for the night Day 6: Ride to join back the ger camp near Bat-Ulzii Day 7: Last day of riding, you come back to the family's camp Day 8: Last day in the family, resting day after the horsebcak hiking and enjoy the place Day 9: The family drive you back to the city to take the bus for UB
What’s included
- Included: The older son of the family leads the horseback hiking.
- Included: Transportation between Khujirt and the family's camp is include as meals, nights accomodations and all horsebcak riding.
- Included: You ride around 30km per day so we don't accept beginner riders for safety, comfort and to create homogeneous groups.
- Included: The price is for a group of 4 people so if there is less people, the family may ask a supplement at the end of your stay.
